Every year, I “try” the “Thirty Days of Fashion” challenge. I emphasize “try” because I would do the challenge and fail because I never really had a plan.
I am learning fashion blogging is more than just taking photos and creating outfit of the days, you actually have to plan your posts. #whoknew? Seriously, that may sound logical and you may be thinking “Well, Duh Michal!!!” but I am such a “free-spirit” that I never really took the time to plan out my hobby, my passion.
This year, I decided to take a totally different approach and provide a guide for myself of what outfits I would post each day (and now that I know a little bit about how to take my own photos), this “Thirty Days of Fashion” seems a little bit more promising.
Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram (@thebohemiancosmo), you can see some of my recent posts. I will be posting some of my favorites on this blog site shortly.
Here lately I have been a little bit more motivated in taking my own photos for my blog. I guess it’s like a challenge that I feel I must overcome.
Each time I go to a site to take photos, I think to myself “Will this post be inspirational to someone?” and I pray to God for help. Him & I, we are like a team. 🙂

One thing I have learned about blogging is you have to stay consistent, no matter what. That is the only way to build your audience and your brand and sometimes in life there are hurdles to overcome………….(it happens, just roll with it).
Here recently, I have been trying to teach myself how to be my own photographer. The inside story is my photographer, who is my oldest child, works really long and hard hours as a manager in the foodservice industry. I am so proud of him for his work ethic…………(proud Mom moment, let me take a moment. #veklempt Talk amongst yourselves)
Okay, I’m back. The result is I need to find a photographer………….enter myself in the training wheels phase of the world of photography.
I took these photos over the weekend and for the next month, I will try to commit to learning how to master taking selfies. Lift me up in your prayers, won’t you? 🙂

With my boyfriend’s old sweater and my iPhone camera, I decided to pay homage to one of my favorite singers and style inspiration, Jody Watley by recreating her “Still A Thrill” album cover for Halloween.
I love this Elle Sweden fashion editorial because it totally depicts how I dress at work. Mixed prints, carefree with a tad bit of professionalism.
