With my boyfriend’s old sweater and my iPhone camera, I decided to pay homage to one of my favorite singers and style inspiration, Jody Watley by recreating her “Still A Thrill” album cover for Halloween.
My favorite thing to wear on the weekend is not denim but camouflage. I have camo everything too from dresses, joggers, pants, skirts and even tank tops.
I love pairing these items with contrasting colors or fabrics like this backless knit sweater and faux suede booties but ultimately my main goal is comfort.
I even tone down my makeup because let’s be real, who is going to Target with their face beat to the gawds? 0_O

An easy/chic way to incorporate a subtle sexy look into your outfit of the day is wearing an off-the-shoulder sweater or top.
This style is currently trending this season so if you are looking for a wide variety of apparel check out Tobi.com. Not only is their selection awesome but the quality of their clothing is equally as awesome.
Did I just sound like a commercial? Yeah, maybe. 🙂

Ever so often I love to do what I call “Vintage Recreations” on my fashion blog where I use a vintage photo as inspiration for my “Outfit Of The Day”. Unknowingly, when I put this outfit together and was looking over the photos I thought “Oh, Wow, this ensemble reminds me a lot of Audrey Hepburn’s outfit in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s“. I guess my vintage style is becoming second nature to me now.
I told my boyfriend about the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” correlation and his response was “What’s Tiffany’s? Do they sell chicken?” O_O

As much as I try to take pictures in the daytime, I promise as soon as I get off work the weather does its very best to work against me. #sigh
Anyway, with the exception of the boots purchased from Shein , this outfit was a total thrift store find.
The dress is Norma Komali (I was so excited when I found this gem). This was the same day I found a Prada purse at Goodwill, too.
Now that I think about it, this was also the same day I won $23 from scratch offs. My boyfriend swears I won more than $23 based off my thrift store finds………(ha!!!)
As generic and somewhat juvenille the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” is to me, I love it. I just might be that woman wearing applique sweaters and vests during the holidays when I get older. I just might. #onlyGodcanjudgeme

“Why Blog?” – I ask myself that question sometimes and then I think about how much I love sharing my passion with the world and I get excited.
I mean I could say there is a little bit of “vanity” in taking and editing pictures of yourself, (I will be the first to admit it) but it’s also the feeling of “Who can I help by sharing this post?” or “Will my readers get as excited about this outfit or this collection as I do?”.
Even when I feel like I only have 2 followers or when walking to a location (for an OOTD) with my son wondering “Why am I taking this picture?”, I always think about the quote that says “Blog like no one is watching”.
Today I went to a social media meet up sponsored by Pattern formerly known as Indianapolis Fashion Collective.
Just like the name sounds, it’s all the people who make up the Indy fashion community (bloggers, designers, boutique owners and indie artist).
I really had a great time and let me just say the world gets super small when you are talking to someone who tells you their current address only to realize that you lived at the same apartment 16 years ago. #mindblown
Fall is a perfect time for layering all your clothes in the closet. I am wearing a denim shirt, denim jacket with my son’s plaid shirt and camo joggers. I feel totally comfortable too.
A can’t-go-wrong tip on layering your clothes is this combination: Shirt+sweatshirt+denim jacket and/or blazer.
Combining all 4 is even better especially if you’re going to be outside for any length of time.
