So today I spent the morning taking care of business……………okay, I was adulting. I had a water leak in the house and had to deal with all that was involved. #sigh
Afterwards, I spent the rest of my day hanging with my boys.
We had an awesome time riding our bikes and rolling down this massive hill that we aptly titled “Smooth Cruise”. #megafun

As much as I try to take pictures in the daytime, I promise as soon as I get off work the weather does its very best to work against me. #sigh
Anyway, with the exception of the boots purchased from Shein , this outfit was a total thrift store find.
The dress is Norma Komali (I was so excited when I found this gem). This was the same day I found a Prada purse at Goodwill, too.
Now that I think about it, this was also the same day I won $23 from scratch offs. My boyfriend swears I won more than $23 based off my thrift store finds………(ha!!!)
As generic and somewhat juvenille the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” is to me, I love it. I just might be that woman wearing applique sweaters and vests during the holidays when I get older. I just might. #onlyGodcanjudgeme

“Why Blog?” – I ask myself that question sometimes and then I think about how much I love sharing my passion with the world and I get excited.
I mean I could say there is a little bit of “vanity” in taking and editing pictures of yourself, (I will be the first to admit it) but it’s also the feeling of “Who can I help by sharing this post?” or “Will my readers get as excited about this outfit or this collection as I do?”.
Even when I feel like I only have 2 followers or when walking to a location (for an OOTD) with my son wondering “Why am I taking this picture?”, I always think about the quote that says “Blog like no one is watching”.
Today I went to a social media meet up sponsored by Pattern formerly known as Indianapolis Fashion Collective.
Just like the name sounds, it’s all the people who make up the Indy fashion community (bloggers, designers, boutique owners and indie artist).
I really had a great time and let me just say the world gets super small when you are talking to someone who tells you their current address only to realize that you lived at the same apartment 16 years ago. #mindblown
Fall is a perfect time for layering all your clothes in the closet. I am wearing a denim shirt, denim jacket with my son’s plaid shirt and camo joggers. I feel totally comfortable too.
A can’t-go-wrong tip on layering your clothes is this combination: Shirt+sweatshirt+denim jacket and/or blazer.
Combining all 4 is even better especially if you’re going to be outside for any length of time.
On the Sundays I don’t go to church (insert #onlyGodcanjudgeme) I like to be as comfortable as possible because chances are I am either doing housework, thinking of ideas for my blog or watching movies with my boys.
Generally my loungewear consists of maxi dresses or extremely comfy pants (like the ones I am wearing).
This is one the reasons why I love the $15 maxis at places like Forever 21 or Target because they are PERFECT for a comfy Sunday. 🙂
If you follow me on Instagram, you can see some of “My Stories” that I share which is basically some of the fun times with my boys. Before we went bike riding today, I decided to snap a few pics for the blog.
I wore a “Statement Suit” to church and decided to keep the cami on and pair it with some jean culottes. I kinda like the whole rugged but dainty look.
The earrings are my new favorite from Uniq by Niq. I featured her Etsy store about year ago. She has some ah-mazing earrings that are very affordable.
I have never been a person who is bound by fashion rules and truthfully in the fashion industry there shouldn’t be any rules. Rules constrict creativity.
I love wearing white after “Labor Day”. My only suggestion would be to make sure your white ensemble adapts to the season.
