Ever so often I love to do what I call “Vintage Recreations” on my fashion blog where I use a vintage photo as inspiration for my “Outfit Of The Day”. Unknowingly, when I put this outfit together and was looking over the photos I thought “Oh, Wow, this ensemble reminds me a lot of Audrey Hepburn’s outfit in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s“. I guess my vintage style is becoming second nature to me now.
I told my boyfriend about the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” correlation and his response was “What’s Tiffany’s? Do they sell chicken?” O_O

Vintage Recreation: Plaid Blazer
I remember in high school (in my sewing class) attempting to make a wide-legged plaid jumper and how challenging it was to make sure the print was properly sewn together to show a uniform design.
I guess that was the beginning of my infatuation for the print; however, I also realized that sewing was not my “super-strength” in fashion. 🙂

Fashion really is cyclical as seen with this year’s latest trends like body suits and
I love body suits now just as I loved them in 1993……Oh, and remember the floral body dresses. I loved them too. I just didn’t think I was old enough to wear them at the time.
Now I think those dresses are past my prime. #gofigure

Okay, so I have been having a lot of fun taking these “Vintage Recreation” photos. I try to put my own modern twist with it too; however, I have taken a few photos where I feel like “No, there is no possible way to make this dress modern.”. That is one of my “outtakes”. I am sure every fashion blogger has a ton of those. 🙂

I absolutely love plaid skirts and besides vintage clothing, I may possibly be a “plaid skirt collector“. I literally have all the colors of the rainbow in my closet.
Hmmm, and then I thought “Why do I have so many plaid skirts?” and I realized it’s because you can pair it with anything in any season.
