A Day In The Life Of…………Easy Kid-Friendly Recipe

Like most Mom’s the majority of my life revolves around my boys. I would have to say the hardest part of my day is finding quick and easy meals to prepare……..(okay, let me scratch that last sentence because thanks to Facebook and the “internets”, meal preparation has become a little bit easier).
I ran across this recipe on Facebook and just had to share. This meal was prepared in 20 minutes (most of the time was spent waiting for the fish to bake)………How cool is that?
Recipe
1 pkg. Cotsco Tortilla Crusted Tilapia
1 pkg. coleslaw
1 pkg. corn tortillas
1 bottle of Hidden Valley Southwest Chipotle dressing

Cilantro (optional)
Preparation

Bake fish in the oven at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

Let the fish cool for 5 minutes and have your family pitch in to assemble their tacos.

It’s just that simple.

Style Star: Jody Watley

Remember Jody Watley? 1/3 of the R&B group Shalamar. The singer who was married to Andre Cymone. The same Andre Cymone who grew up with Prince? Yeah, that Jody Watley.
She was one of my fashion icons growing up. (I believe I have petticoats in my closet now because of her influence) I wanted to dress JUST LIKE her. A black corset, black fluffy petticoat, huge hoop earrings, stockings and a pair of patent leather booties.
……and her hair was #everything to me……..wait, it still is. 🙂

The Model: Damaris Lewis

For the rest of this month, my posts may be inspired by Prince as like the rest of the world I am extremely sad about the loss. He was much more than a talented musician in my household growing up, Prince was like family.
I had been seeing a pretty black female alongside Prince in pictures and I kept wondering “Who is she?”. She is absolutely beautiful. Her face reminded me of a younger Naomi Campbell so I decided to do a little research. I found out her name is Damaris Lewis. She is a model and has appeared in several ad campaigns and fashion editorials and in 2012 began touring with Prince as a dancer.
(It’s weird because I just recently noticed her courtside in pictures with him.)
To learn more about Damaris check out her blog Heels to Hoops and her website.
