Mixing Plaids

Plaid seems to be “the print” for this Fall 2015 season and I have a ton of it.
Here’s a style tip:┬á If you’ve ever had trouble mixing prints in the past, plaid is about the easiest print to mix. All you need to do is stay in the same color family and you’re good to go.

Style Star: Marissa Webb

One thing that I immediately noticed about fashion designer Marissa Webb’s style is how she always looks so classy but with minimum fuss. The same style she exhibits in her runway collections.
I have studied many people and their personal style and in my opinion to look effortless chic on a daily basis is a gift that is often imitated but never duplicated. Marissa definitely has “the gift”. čÖé

Hi-Low Sweater X Ralph Lauren Tribal Shorts

I saw somewhere online where denim shorts are called “Jorts”. Really???? You learn something new everyday.
Anyway, wearing shorts is no longer limited to summer months. I love wearing mines in the fall layered with cool stockings and thigh high socks.
I wouldn’t suggest wearing shorts or “jorts” on the coldest day of the year but when transitioning your attire during the fall/winter season, it’s PERFECT!!!!.

CB Style Corner: Layering Maxis

LayerMaxi (2)
To me there is no wrong way to wear a maxi dress. I mean it’s about the easiest outfit to coordinate in your closet……simply slip one on, add a necklace and Boom, “You’re all cute”; however, during the fall/winter months, I try to layer my maxis to keep warm.
The easiest way I have found to layer a maxi (especially if it’s a summer maxi) is with tights and a turtleneck. You can add a denim or biker jacket with a cute knit scarf for added warmth or try┬ácomplimenting the outfit with┬áa faux fur for a more glamorous look.
The key is to keep the layers simple. No one wants to walk out the house looking like the “Abominable Snowman”. čÖé
