CB Style Corner: How To Restyle “The Bridesmaid Dress”
At some point in your life one of your friends will ask you to be in their wedding.   Generally, your only financial obligation (besides your gift) is to pay for your bridesmaid dress that your trusted friend has selected for you………..(hopefully, she has good taste, right?)  Â
But what happens to the dress after the wedding? Does it just hang in the back of your closet collecting dust?…….raises hand as I peer towards the back of my own closet to look at the plastic covering some of my bridesmaid dresses with the exception of one. My good friend selected a 2 piece dress and I still “rock it” from time to time.
Luckily, there are tons of inspiration on the web on how to restyle your bridesmaid dress to incorporate into your regular attire.
1.) Wear a denim top over the dress for a fun and chic look.
2.) If the bridesmaid dress is short, pair it with some jeans.
3. Wear a crisp white dress shirt over it.
4.) Paired with a plaid top, the dress can take on a “shabby chic” look
5.) Add a little “rocker chic” to the dress with a cool t-shirt.
If all else fails, I guess you could donate the dress to Goodwill but that would not be half as fun as restyling it.

Altar’d State Maxi Dress
I bought this dress at Altar’d State. I was not familiar with the store until I traveled to KY. I found out it’s a Christian store that is in the same family as Anthropologie and Free People so of course it was love at first sight.
